Personal data protection


 
The state enterprise Centre of Registers processes your personal data as natural person and data subject, which are provided by you or they are received from other sources, both in state registers and information systems and in our own internal information resources. Therefore the main objective is to process your data in a manner that ensures appropriate security of the personal data, including protection against unauthorized or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction, damage or alteration and against other  unauthorized processing using appropriate technical or organizational measures.

Personal data are processed only for specified and legitimate purposes, based on conditions of the legitimate processing of personal data and in compliance with the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation), the Law of the Republic of Lithuania on Legal Protection of Personal Data), as well as the requirements of other legislative acts governing the processing and protection of personal data.


Please note that the General Data Protection Regulation only applies to the processing of personal data of natural persons, but does not apply to the processing of data of deceased persons. The General Data Protection Regulation also does not apply to the processing of data of legal persons (except its owners, directors, members of the management bodies, shareholders, etc., who are natural persons).

 
 
The Centre of Registers processes (as well as provides) personal data of natural persons stored in the state registers and information systems in fulfilment of a legal obligation, acting as data processor by processing personal data on behalf of data controllers (ministries in charge of the state registers and information systems).
 
The Centre of Registers in performance of its activities and acting as data controller also processes personal data of natural persons on the basis of legal obligation, legitimate interest, the consent of the data subject, performing other functions in the public interest. In addition, as well, as when processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is party or in order to take steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract.
