LEGAL ENTITY: Charity and relief foundation

LEGAL REGULATION
  • The Law Amending the Law on Charity and Relief Foundations
  • The Civil Code of the Republic of Lithuania (Book Two)
ESTABLISHMENT
  • The articles of association of the charity and relief foundation are drawn up. When the charity and relief foundation has one founder, the act of establishment is drawn up;
  • The founders may submit to the Register of Legal Entities an application (form JAR-5) for temporary inclusion of the name of the foundation into the Register;
  • The statutes of the charity and relief foundation are drawn up;
  • A constituent meeting is convened which must approve the statutes and elect members of the management body;
  • The charity and relief foundation is deemed to have been established upon registration thereof with the Register of Legal Entities.
REGISTRATION

Before the application for registration of the charity and relief foundation is submitted to the Administrator of the Register, the civil law notary must verify the correctness of the particulars entered into the application, the compliance of the statutes with the statutory requirements and the fact that the charity and relief foundation is eligible for registration.


Documents to be submitted to the State Enterprise Centre of Registers:

1. The instrument of incorporation
2. The statutes
3. Form JAR-1
